'ASPIRATIONS BEYOND EXPECTATIONS'
Tamare House adopts the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) as a core element of its therapeutic and relational practice. This approach is particularly effective for children with learning difficulties, who may require additional support to understand their emotions, process information, and build trusting relationships. Staff are fully trained in delivering PACE and use it consistently to create a calm, nurturing, and emotionally attuned environment.
Through PACE, adults respond to each young person with patience, warmth, and genuine interest, helping them feel safe, understood, and valued. This relational foundation supports improved emotional regulation, reduces anxiety, and enables children with learning difficulties to engage more confidently in education, social interaction, and daily living skills. The use of PACE underpins the home’s commitment to providing developmentally informed care that promotes resilience, positive attachments, and meaningful progress for every young person.
